Designed for deck mounted installations, the VSE electric venting skylight is the perfect daylighting solution for overhead applications. It brings in abundant natural light and with the touch of a button, opens to let in fresh air. And if you forget to close it, the VSE also closes automatically in case of rain.

The VSE skylight comes with a pre-installed concealed motor and control system. One rain sensor that automatically closes your skylight during inclement weather is also included.

All Velux electric venting skylights now come standard with a factory installed blind! These remote controlled blinds are available in either a blackout or light filtering material and in an assortment of colors. Blackout blinds block out 98% of the lights whereas light filtering blinds are translucent, designed to soften the light and eliminate glare.

The VSE skylight installs on roofs with slopes between 14° (3:12) and 85° (137:12).

Simple installation

The VSE skylight installs right out of the box using a single 14 gauge hard wire that connects into a standard junction box unlike other motorized skylights. 20 feet of wire is included.

Energy efficient glass options for added safety and energy efficiency

All VELUX skylight glazings are built using energy efficient, LoE3, Argon gas injected dual glass panes. The VSE skylight comes with your choice of the following glazing options, each designed to meet the needs of specific building situations:

• Impact glass - Special safety glass designed to meet code requirements for hurricane prone areas (Available for select sizes)
• Tempered glass - Tempered safety glass
• Snowload glass - Special safety glass required in some heavy snow areas

Quality construction

The VSE skylight comes with pre-finished white frames and sashes that eliminate the need for secondary high cost trips by a painter. An insect screen, a stainless steel chain operator and aluminum or copper cladding is also included in the package.
